Nicholas will be joining APEXV2R for a strong endurance schedule for 2023. The team who has been transitioning from simulator professionals to a real life, competitive racing team will be putting their full efforts into developing their endurance racing program this year. After a successful 2022 season of sprint racing and endurance racing in 2022, APEXV2R is aiming to be a top contender in endurance racing across Canada and the United States.
Nicholas will join the team for races in three separate championships across Canada and the United States, including Lucky Dog Racing Canada, ChampCar Endurance Series and World Racing League. Nicholas will be racing a Scion FRS as well as a Porsche Cayman in select events throughout the year.
"It will be a lot of seat-time, which is the best thing you can ask for as a racing driver. We will be at quite a few tracks with quite a few cars and a lot of different drivers, so it will definitely be a good learning experience for the team and I. I'm really looking forward to developing a program with the team that sets us up well for the future." - Nicholas Hornbostel
There will be a lot of great media coverage of the teams' journey. Stay tuned to APEXV2R's Youtube series and television show in production for the upcoming season.
Nicholas will also be working closely with APEXV2R as a driver coach at the events as well as at the many driver development days the team has scheduled for the upcoming season.
