Nicholas began his racing career in karting relatively late in life, at age 13. In his 10 years of racing, he has developed quickly which has allowed him to continue to improve each season and achieve great success. As well as being a racing driver, Nicholas has been working as a karting coach and mechanic for the last few years which keeps him busy in between his own races, but also allows him to share his knowledge and expertise with younger drivers helping them to develop into top level racers.
Throughout Nicholas’ karting career, it was always a tough battle to be competitive and fight for wins and championships due to being on a very tight budget as well as being a full-time student ever since he started racing. This made it extremely challenging for him to show his true potential 100% of the time. Going into the 2021 season and onward Nicholas will be more prepared than ever. During his last four years of kart racing, he had been studying at the University of Toronto and graduated with a degree in Kinesiology in the spring of 2021. Being a full-time student and competing Internationally is by no means an easy task. Nicholas is eager to get back into a fully focused and competitive mindset with no distractions. Nicholas’ main priority for 2021 -his debut season in cars- was to prove his true potential by being the best racing driver he can be in order to show his thanks and appreciation to those who support him in his goal of becoming a professional racing driver.
In order for Nicholas to fully showcase his racing capabilities, he needs financial support. Racing is without question an expensive sport but has a lot of potential for significant promotion and reward. “As a racing driver, part of my duty is to ensure my sponsors are represented with the highest quality of professionalism.” This means that Nicholas is always doing whatever he can in order to promote his partners' brands in the most appropriate ways possible, both on track through his performance and off the track, in the media. Nicholas aims to build strong connections and relationships with his partners as they progress and continue together through to the highest levels of motorsport over the next few years.
Nicholas is continuing to climb the ladder higher and higher into the world of competitive motorsport and is aiming to compete in the GT4/TCR series. These are spec classes that compete in many series world-wide. With many eyes on these series looking for upcoming talent, Nicholas aims to really make a name for himself not only in Canada but around the world!
Nicholas’ goal is to gradually move up the racing ladder by winning in his respective categories in order to demonstrate that he is capable of being competitive at an even higher level. Over the next 5 years he aims to be racing professionally in the highest levels of motorsport. Although Nicholas is open to any opportunities, the most realistic path would be to race sports cars until he is able to compete in the World Endurance Championship - one of the largest series in motorsports which holds the largest races all around the world.
